Description

Serving as the third installment in the critically acclaimed fantasy strategy franchise, Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic builds upon the beloved formula of empire management, role-playing elements, and turn-based tactical warfare. This fan-favorite addition introduces the mysterious Shadow World alongside previously unseen races, all set across a rich variety of brand-new landscapes.
With the addition of a powerful random map generator and an upgraded campaign editor, players can craft entirely original worlds and reshape the course of history, guaranteeing an endless supply of fresh and unique gameplay experiences.
Key features:
  • A brand-new Campaign featuring 5 episodes across 16 scenarios, introducing fresh characters and an engaging original storyline. An additional 19 standalone scenarios are also included.
  • All 12 original Age of Wonders races have been revisited and updated, each receiving a new city upgrade accompanied by a unique unit. As an example, Elves now have access to the Secret Forest, which conceals their town from enemies and generates Treemen.
  • Three completely new playable races have been introduced: the plains-dwelling Nomads, the malevolent Shadow Demons, and the enigmatic Syrons from another realm.
  • Engage enemies through diplomacy on your own terms, and lay waste to their cities by masterfully combining tactical strategy with powerful magical enhancements — perhaps earning yourself the title of the greatest Wizard-King ever known.
  • Challenge rivals in Multiplayer across LAN or Internet connections, supporting up to 8 players. Available modes include Play by Email, Hot Seat, and the dynamic Simultaneous-Turn System, which allows every player to take their moves concurrently.
  • Unleash your creativity with the enhanced scenario editor, designing custom scenarios, heroes, items, and Wizards to challenge other players with your personal creations.
  • Generate entirely new scenarios or multiplayer maps instantly using the random map generator — all with just a single click!
