  • Deep base building with power and water systems

  • Farming, hunting, and animal husbandry

  • Crafting, cooking, and food preservation

  • Mining and refining of ores

  • Dynamic seasons, weather, and day/night cycle

  • Player needs: hunger, thirst, body temperature, health

  • Wildlife encounters and combat

  • Optional AI enemies (“Vambies”)

  • Vehicles

Lore:

The world’s collapse and the origins of the Infected are still being developed. For now, the focus is on survival systems and giving players freedom in how they play.

Disclaimer (Early Access):

The Infected is in active Early Access development. Some features are still being added and balanced, and you may encounter bugs or performance issues. We’re a small team building this game with the help of community feedback. If you’re looking for a complete experience, you may wish to wait. However, if you want to help shape the development, we welcome you now!

Goals:

The aim is to deliver a feature-rich survival crafting game with more systems and player choice than most of the genre. Survival can mean farming, base-building, or facing hostile AI — the choice is yours.

I feel like the game has some pretty good potential, but something about it just feels...stiff, or maybe even stuck? I'm not convinced that the devs are completely sure where they are going with the game and or where

Great game! Very fun to play, the building aspect of the game is very good. Explore, loot, and fighting the infected. I started playing after watching play throughs by Kage848, he has great video on this game.

Genuinely, the ONLY thing stopping me from really playing this game is that it’s single player. My wife and I love these games and we’re super bummed out to find that we can’t play it together. Definitely an odd choice

The defining thing here for me is the ability to turn the vambies off. I LOVE the survival aspect of the game but I am not someone that can deal with the very scary vampire zombies lol. I love the mechanics of this game

Yes if you like detailed builder games. Just turn off the vambies and build. But that is not for me (although I enjoyed some of it). I enjoyed the detail put into everything from making food, clothing, tools, machines,

Have played for 238 hours. I like best the customization options. You can decide difficulty by determining if you want predators and how many zambies you want to encounter and where. You can turn zambies off altogether
