About the Game

Three different game modes – Story, Survival, and Cold Wave
Story-driven survival experience crafted for new & veteran players who wish to rediscover the genre from a different perspective
Sanity system that challenges your gameplay and turns the difficulty curve upside down
Fully customizable experience – shape your own gameplay
A dynamic environment that evolves as you progress, constantly increasing the challenge

Winter Survival blends classic survival mechanics with psychological tension and narrative mystery. In Story Mode, uncover the story of Danny – a rookie survivalist whose only desire is to come back home. Learn basic and advanced mechanics of our survival approach and take responsibility for Danny’s future.
Forge your own path in a sandbox-style Survival Mode, free of narrative constraints. Customize the gameplay the way you like, choose from different starting scenarios, and shape your own survival adventure.
Or try Cold Wave Mode – a quick hop-in and hop-out survival experience where death is always a step behind. Survive as long as you can, gather as many gold bars as possible, and in the end, compare your score with other survivalists. Every run brings invaluable knowledge and better starting gear, potentially leading to a higher score.

Sanity is your most fragile resource. As hunger bites, isolation deepens, and predators stalk the night, your grip on reality begins to slip as your trauma meter increases.
Hallucinations, panic attacks, and even delusional predators become as dangerous as wolves or frostbite. And this is only a glimpse of the symptoms that you’ll have to carefully pick from.
Craft tools, build shelter, and explore the vast, living world of Winter Survival. But remember — you are the outsider here. Adapt to the wild, expect the unexpected, and watch as nature reacts to your every move.

With a vast open world at your disposal, explore frostbitten forests, humid marshes, abandoned settlements, and shadowed caves where silence screams.
Move stealthily to avoid danger, use the terrain to outsmart predators, or face them in direct combat.

Winter Survival introduces you to the basics and advanced mechanics of survival, but with our own twist.
Looking for supplies or food? Scavenge the area that surrounds you or choose a more dangerous approach and try to steal it from wolves.
Freezing to death? Lighting up the fire might be your true salvation. It will provide you with warmth and scare away wolves, but it might attract other predators – especially when cooking out in the wild.
Want to hunt that deer which stalks the area? Great, but act quickly to secure that tasty meal before other far more dangerous creatures lay their claws on it.

Lowest quality game I have ever played. Maddening. Unplayable, and i tried for a long time since The Long Dark is one of my favorite games ever. They say they care about mental health on the non-skippable loading
Game has some fun survival elements, but the Story mode keeps pushing you into bad conditions without much opportunity to prepare for them. Even Green Hell was far more forgiving.
I like the game, very challenging, fun and cheap with the 40% discoult, but too many bugs for a finished product. 1) once the load button is pressed it takes 30s to open and sometimes it crashes. 2) I build close to a
I have two gripes with the game, gameplay wise. Story Mode: I stopped playing the story mode after reaching act three because of a certain game mechanic that's introduced then - not gonna spoil anything but it feels out
Bug on a bug on a bug on a bug. I collapsed on the trolley because I was fatigued, when I woke up I couldn't turn, like I still was on the trolley even though I could go off of it. I just refuse to continue to start
The further I progress the further I get frustrated with alle the bugs and lack of attention to the UI in general. End Game is just too much of all the bad things combined this game has to offer. And don't get me
