As someone who loves castles and Tower Defense, the freeform castle building and sieging is all I could want in a game. The main story line campaign missions were fun and (mostly) not too difficult on Normal mode, and
Tis good mi'lord. Get this one over 2 or 3. I didn't even play these back in the day, but 1 is definitely the best. 4 looks great from the demo, so I'll be completing this and the Crusader expansion until then.
Played it a lot when I was a kid, found it even better when I grew up. Great castle sim with nice combat and strategy. I prefer this game compared to the later instalments, although I played the campaign a lot as well
