I've been playing Stronghold Crusader since 2008. Here are my thoughts of the Definitive Edition: Pros: 1. The QoL improvements are pretty nice, especially for beginners who just started getting into Stronghold Series.
A nostalgic game very true to it's roots, to the detriment of getting into the game at a modern date. Very good vibes and a lot of fun but don't think it's worth getting if you're used to modern strategy looking for
Still as good as the original! Nice additions in units and missions. Really like the auto buy-sell feature. Saves a lot of time in managing the boring stuff
if you ever think that it would be a great game to play with a friend, just kill the idea right then and there, because the co-op missions feel like it was made by an intern which whom they couldnt come up with a work
At first I was satisfied with the graphical upgrades, and the idea of having new storylines to play but quickly realized they just turned this entire game into a chore. Why mess with the original storyline and put all
The old stuff is still great, the new content is disappointing imo. Co-op focused or time trails are not how I want to be pushed into playing.
