SWQHoG is just as lovingly produced as the other Steam World games. The card play is satisfying. yet the story is remarkably unimaginative for a fantasy game. All the other heroes gave up their heroics, so hey let's
Very small rpg using cards as essentially commands. The environments are static and bland. The cards are neat, and there is minor exploration and hidden items to find which is the main fun. The battles are fairly boring
It's regularly 90% off, so see for yourself if you like it. 15-20 hours per playthrough. All-in-all it left no impression. The writing may be your cup of tea, but after chapter 3 i basically skipped all dialogue with
It's not bad, but very boring. I'm halfway through and feel like I've seen everything the game has to offer. Every battle feels the same, every character feels the same. I can't finish more than 1 chapter per session
A real treat for classic RPG fans. The writing is light hearted and comedic, but still pulls it's weight and drags you into the narrative. Gameplay is tight and fun, with solid visuals and great music.
One of my favorite indie games of all time, and my personal favorite entry into the Steamworld series. A fun and dynamic deckbuilder with endearing characters, fantastic artwork, and a whole lot of heart and creativity.
