About the Game

Awaken the Spirit, Reignite the Legend

Soar once more into the skies with Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins, now available on Steam with enhanced visuals, quality-of-life improvements, and streamlined gameplay—all crafted to elevate your journey through the clouds.

Experience two legendary RPGs like never before. Step into the role of a guardian spirit, guiding a vibrant cast of characters as they rise against fate in a world suspended above the ruins of the past. Brimming with emotion, mystery, and tactical depth, this is storytelling redefined.

Long ago, the people waged war against an evil god. Though victory was claimed, the land was left broken. Forced to abandon the earth, humanity took refuge in the skies, building new lives among the floating continents. Legends tell of a time when hearts bore literal wings—Wings of the Heart—ushering in an age of serenity. But now, that peace trembles on the edge of collapse.

When a young warrior speaks your name—the name of a forgotten spirit—the tale begins anew. A tale where destinies clash, hearts take flight, and the skies themselves hold the echoes of prayer and memory.

• Revolutionary Magnus Battle System
In the realm of Baten Kaitos, every object—armor, weapons, potions—exists as a captured essence within cards known as magnus. These magnus hold the power to manifest items at will, and they lie at the heart of combat.

Battles unfold in real time, demanding quick decisions and sharp strategy. Choose your magnus wisely—timing and type matter.
Exploit elemental weaknesses, chain combinations, and uncover devastating synergies by mixing magnus in creative ways. Master the deck, and master the fight.

• Stunning HD Visuals – Reimagined for Modern Play

Both games have undergone a full HD remastering, with enhanced battle backdrops, refined character art, and a refreshed user interface.
• Expanded aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 for immersive widescreen play
• Completely revitalized main character and boss designs with intricate detail
• Intuitive new menu systems featuring improved navigation, sorting options, and modern layouts
Original assets remain preserved for maps and select in-game models, maintaining nostalgic authenticity.

• Enhanced Gameplay Features for a Smoother Experience
Beyond visuals, these remasters bring thoughtful additions to deepen accessibility and replayability:
• Auto-save functionality for uninterrupted progress
• Comprehensive help menu with key terms, gameplay tips, and guidance
• New Game+ – Replay the story with all magnus, levels, and ranks carried over
• New Game- – A fresh challenge with level caps for a tougher experience
Six new system options allow full customization—from adjustable game speed to a no-encounter mode for focused exploration.
Create and save your preferred settings as a Custom Set, then toggle them anytime—your way, your pace.

Their latest small updated (20/11/25), allegedly to protect users again a Unity vulnerability, also wiped all player's savegames. Some people lost 50 hours, some people less and some more - I've personally lost 26 hours

Owned and completed both of these games on Gamecube (approx 10~12 times for BK1, 2 times for BK2), now revisiting this remaster. Succinct review from someone who has spent maybe about 500~ lifetime hours with these

The recent update ruined my saved games, and I would never think about buying any of these "remasters" on Steam, since they consistently fail to deliver a quiality experience. You're always having to download some

Probably one of the best RPG series ever created, Baten Kaitos has always been one of my all time favourite games. I was absolutely thrilled to see it make a comeback in this remaster. Thanks to custom mods that allowed

Unbelievably bad mismanagement of a flawed but incredible game. The publisher literally deleted every single person's saves accidentally, waited a day, and then intentionally did it again. I've requested a refund on
