I really wanted to like this DLC, really. The concept sounded AMAZING, but it was an utter disappointment. Rainworld, the game about just being a little creature in an ecosystem has you TRANSCENDING SPACE AND TIME. I
The campainge is stripped of what I love about the game. At first when it came out I was excited but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Can't even bring myself to try it again cuz it's just tiresome. Downpour
I like linear progression. The base game barely gets a pass because there are actually readable maps online that can be used to map your route. This dlc uses randomization to determine key progression locations and I'm
slow and boring start, but great after. strong yumme nikki vibes, with it often being an exploration of new strange areas. at its worst, it's a slog. at it's best, it's beautiful.
Consider: A droplet of rain pierces the still water. A ripple. A ring, ever expanding. Consider: Movement along the circumference of a ring. From one eye a loop. From one eye a spiral. From one eye the motion of a line.
I sadly don't think I can recommend the Watcher as and avid fan of base game, along with Downpour.. TLDR. This DLC is "go read the wiki" and open up a third party map cause 2/3/4 endings are not clear as ending 1, the
