You might know *Axiom Verge*—it's often hailed as a defining title in the indie action-exploration genre. Now, the long-awaited sequel arrives, diving deeper into its enigmatic universe with fresh characters, new abilities, and evolved gameplay mechanics.
Indra, the visionary billionaire leading the global megacorporation Globe 3, travels to Antarctica to uncover the truth behind her daughter’s sudden disappearance. Instead of answers, she’s thrust into a fractured, alien reality warped by self-replicating, parasitic machines—ones that both empower and disorient her. Stranded in this twisted dimension, she’s confronted by a cryptic figure communicating through a flickering terminal. Who are they? And what do they want?
Venture across a haunting Earth-like world littered with the remnants of a lost, advanced civilization. Hack enemy systems, fight biomechanical horrors, and deploy your remote drone into the Breach—a volatile parallel realm teeming with lethal mysteries. Every corridor, cavern, and code fragment holds secrets. Scour them all—upgrades and vital gear are hidden in the shadows, waiting for those brave enough to find them.

User reviews
The controls are an improvement over the original Axiom Verge and the weapon selection is better designed - instead of loads of useless weapons, there's a limited number of them. Unfortunately, that's pretty much where
I really liked the first Axiom Verge but sadly this sequel isn't proving to be as enjoyable in too many fundamental ways. Where the first game had slick combat, this is clunky. Where it had a nicely judged path of
Totally different experience than there first game, and in a lot of ways worser for it. Heavy emphasis on avoiding combat. Cool weapons from the first game were replaced with weird gimmick stuff and Melee weapons. I
Don't expect Axiom Verge - this is a completely new game in it's own right, although the basic platformer/metroidvania mechanics and tropes all still apply. Pick it up on sale. Just don't pay full price. Axiom Verge 2
prior to buying i saw reviews that said it's inferior to the first. while different, i wouldn't say it's inferior. i enjoyed it just as much
It’s an okay game with an abrupt end that feels unfinished. The controls were a bit wonky at times and the enemies are some of the most annoying obstacles you could hope to encounter. If you like metroidvanias, grab it
