About the Game

Classic hardcore gameplay. Experience a deep dungeon crawling RPG. This game was created by the main staff that worked on the popular RPG series back in 2006. In this game, players can experience many different dungeon crawler RPGs using the same base system. Available for the first time on Steam and outside of Japan with enhancements to the UI and much more. Official scenarios seen for the first time each with dozens of hours of gameplay.

Gameplay that is easy to get into. Players will create their own character - much like a traditional tabletop RPG - and venture into a grid based dungeon with a party of up to 6 members. The turn based combat mixes the simplicity of JRPGs with the difficulty of tabletop RPGs. (Our internal dice is not rigged!) Your character can be lost forever and saves will be overwritten. Get ready for a classic hardcore adventure.

Newly improved version

The Steam version has been overhauled using the Unity engine. While the core gameplay is left unchanged from 2006, the UI has been improved for a modern audience.

Improvements include
  • Wide screen/high resolution support with new UI and 3D mazes with high resolution monsters
  • In-game scenario selection
  • Gamepad support
  • Steam cloud support
  • Custom portraits support

Played and completed the original Wizardry Games back in the day. They were amazing. 6/7/8 especially. Whilst this is a great reincarnation of those, it's just too hard. No manual saves (it saves after battle

You have to like these old games, it must be your thing or you will not like this one. It's classic, and it's niche and it's unforgiving.

I don't know, I can imagine giving this game a thumbs up but the UI/sound settings and graphics are incredibly crude. If you really, really love this type of games, it's good. It's pretty playable. But it feels like a

While I recommend this, overall, I think the price for the base game and all the DLC is pretty high. Also, it plays like your standard Wizardry game. However, compared to the other Japanese Wizardry game that's

What if they released a brand-new Wizardry that wasn't particularly good and had zero QoL improvements? And yet somehow they demanded top dollar?
