I love The Talos Principle (both 1 and 2). But, 5 hours into the “Road to Elysium” DLC (still within the first, “Orpheus Ascending,” part), I’m throwing in the towel and quitting. There are multiple problems. First, all
The DLC is made up of three parts. All very separate. I wish I could give this a "meh" score because the middle part is really quite good, tough, but possible puzzles and a great environment and story to it. The problem
The DLC is split into 3 different stories, so I'll review each one independently. Overall consensus is a buy Isle of the Blessed: 10/10 This DLC is the prime reason to buy the entire pack. It does essentially everything
Awful puzzles. Feels like a collection of wacky user-made content. Entire first part of the DLC is about abusing edge-case laser mechanics, it sucks. Half the third world's puzzles can be cheesed. Loved Talos1, Talos2
If the first two Talos games can be mind-bending, and Road to Gehenna is mind-obliterating, then after Into the Abyss I’m not sure if I even have any neurons anymore. A trilogy of self-contained stories, Road to Elysium
The puzzles in Road to Elysium are far more interesting than those in the base game, but also much harder. Honestly, I wish the main game had more puzzles like these, just in a simpler form. The DLC focuses heavily on
