Description
The game centers on a campaign narrative that gives the player a variety of roles in the allied forces ranging from a Marine Infantry, tank commander, Special Forces and helicopter captain. The game has an incredible realistic depiction of war with careful attention to the detail of the weapons, equipment and tactics of the armed forces. The action is varied from intense fire fights through to slower pace tactical decision making on how to best tackle the mission objectives.
- Most accessible, engaging and visceral sandbox shooter - Includes over 100 authentically modeled vehicles and weapons and players will be able to control multi-component vehicles including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, APCs, attack and utility helicopters
- Freedom of Play - Players will need to balance brute force with intelligent use of tactics with unscripted missions containing real objectives such as covering a friendly unit's retreat or conducting short-range recon patrols

Finally, a game that lets me experience the thrill of military life: endless walking, vague objectives, and sudden, unexplainable death from 800 meters away. Immersive! Real war is hell. So is this game.
This, at it's time, was a great FPS game like the other installments in the series. Be mindful, if you're going back to this title, that it shows signs of aging.
Absolutely. Sad that this game is now owned by EA. If you like Arma 2 and 3. This is a must have.
Why they delisted this and Red River from the Steam store is beyond me. Stupidity. Love this game.
One of those games from the "vasiline on my screen" era of games. Everything is brown, blurry and slow. Can't increase the resolution either. Codemasters in 2008 didn't think people might invent monitors with resolution
This game is one of my favourite tactical shooter games. It is a real military simulator with realistic game physics and good graphics despite its age. Compared to ARMA3, it has much better terrain models and more
