About the Game

Life Eater is a horror fantasy kidnapping simulator. Play as a modern-day druid living in suburbia, holding down a dead-end job to pay for your true vocation: conducting the annual ritual that keeps the world from ending.

To delay the end of the world, you must sacrifice a number of specific - but vaguely-described - human beings every year. Use a video editing-inspired interface to discover the story of your victims' lives, one schedule block at a time. Pry into the most intimate details of your targets' schedules, and when the time is right: abduct them before the authorities can find your lair. Time is short and your list of names is long. Choose your options wisely... and pray that the dark god you serve is even real.

Features:

  • Use an innovative "timeline" interface for a new kind of analog horror game.
  • Get to know the unsuspecting targets of your town, intimately.
  • Replayable blend of authored and generated stories.
  • Fully voiced story mode featuring Xalavier Nelson Jr. and Jarret Griffis.
  • Original atmospheric soundscape from David Mason, the composer of DREDGE.
  • An additional Endless mode, featuring decades of procedurally-generated targets.

It's more of an interactive art piece than a video game, so if you want indepth gameplay, then this isn't for you. That being said, I loved the artwork and story. For as little dialog there was, the characters felt

I'm one of the minority of actual humans who have played and beat this, the other reviews are either bots or if they consider this a "good" "game" they might as well be bots. This is a newgrounds "game" you'd play for

Neat little experience but def got on sale. The gameplay loop is interesting but isnt explained to well at the start. Story wise, the end 'twist' can be seen from a mile away but besides that the story is decent. Took

I feel this concept, though very dark and disturbing, is quite good, but there's a monotony to this game after the first 3 years that I couldn't shake. Aside from the cutscenes (which aren't very lengthy), there are
