Help a mysterious artist uncover his enigmatic past and unleash your creativity in shield painting. Henry encounters a quirky painter, who draws him into a web of intricate plans, pushing his skills to its limit in finding solutions.
In a series of quests - spanning both maps of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II world - Henry must find, persuade (and sometimes eliminate), a host of familiar and unfamiliar characters to help his new friend complete the most important painting of his life. Discover the answers to the many questions that surround this mysterious character. Who and what is he? How does he know so much? And why does he carry around a painted human skull?
In addition to new quests, Henry can also gain brand-new shield designs for his work, with over 100 unique designs and colour combinations to choose from.
Brushes with Death is the first expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and included for Expansion Pass and Gold Edition owners.

The gameplay loop is 1. Go to an end of the map 2. Pick an item 3. Return back to another end of the map 4. Wait 24 hours 5. Repeat Sometimes it gets creative and you wait 72 hours straight, or wait until noon. Skip it

Out of the 3 DLC's it is my least favourite. It doesn't really add anything and the story is not engaging. The main character in the story is also not very likable, so most of the time i didnt really want to help him.

Cannot reccomend at all. Yes, you have some designs to paint on your shields. However the majority of quests are Fetch quests and seems unfinished. Really disapointed as the story idea is interesting and had a lot of

Brushes with Death is a bit of a mixed bag for such a great game like KCD2 but still I'd heavily recommend it despite its noticeable shortcomings. This DLC as many have said feels like a cut side quest of the base game.

I don't understand what the point is with this DLC, the painter is a nothingburger shallow character that sends you to a bunch of fetch quests and the only thing you get in return is mediocre vague-posting dialogue
