A zombie outbreak wiped out civilization as we know it. Hordes of zeeks gnawed their way to the top, becoming the world’s apex predator. Regular humans are now an endangered species, with isolated pockets struggling to survive in this new, unforgiving world.
Welcome to HumanitZ, an isometric, open-world, sandbox survival game, where you can try to make a difference and put humanity back where it belongs - at the top of the food chain.
Will you gamble on cities and scavenge loot, knowing hordes of zeeks might be around the corner? Or do you try to survive off the land in the country, through hunting, fishing, and farming?

A vast, cruel world stretches from untamed wilderness to dense urban cities, with each location offering resources and risk. Exploration is rarely safe and never predictable as you face infected wildlife, zeek hordes, and hostile survivors roaming the landscape. Drivable vehicles become essential tools for survival, allowing you to cross dangerous territory, haul supplies, carry companions, and push farther into hostile environments. Will you find aid and trade at survivor camps, or violent confrontation as you take over enemy bandit bases?
If the infected and other survivors aren’t enough, hunger, exposure, and a dynamic weather system constantly threaten your chances of making it through another day. For those willing to keep moving forward when others stop, the path leads to The Island, and the truth behind the outbreak and its terrors left undiscovered.
Pick through the ruins of the old world and scavenge resources to survive, or retreat to the hills to avoid the shambling remnants of humanity. Set up a farm, forage, hunt wildlife, or fish to sustain yourself. Each choice can mean the difference between lasting another day or becoming part of the ruins.
Survive your way. Play solo, cooperatively, or online in PvE and PvP modes with dedicated servers and proximity voice chat. Whether you face the apocalypse alone or with friends watching your back, the choice is yours. In a desolate world, even solo survivors learn quickly that befriending a dog or horse companion can mean the difference between life and death.
Design your chosen survivor with professions, afflictions, and a skill-tree system. Then outfit your survivor with a plethora of weaponry and gear that shape how you endure the apocalypse.
Use an extensive crafting and building system to create what you need to survive, from gear and consumables to vehicles. Craft and customize weapons with attachments and modifications to survive relentless threats and hunt game. Upgrade vehicles with armor, weapons, and storage capacity to adapt to the risks ahead.
Then construct a safe house, fortify your base against threats using defensive structures like electrified fences and concrete barricades, or reclaim a burned-out house as a new place to live.
Not all zeeks are slow and stupid. Adapt and improvise against numerous zeek variants, or you'll risk becoming zombie fodder. Customize your game sessions using extensive game-altering settings, or push yourself further by enabling Permadeath Mode if you dare.
After playing for over a thousand hours, I feel that this game shows absolutely no consideration for its users. It feels just like being a beta tester. If the numerous bugs are left unaddressed, this game will soon
Love this game. I have no problems with gameplay or graphics. My only issue when I last played was when my cursor went to the edge of my screen it would drift where my character was looking. But good so far. about to
Hollywood got nothing on this game,i had to fight a big horde while cutting wood with my chainsaw at 1AM during a thunderstorm. The sound isn't quite there yet but this game has come a long way.Keep up the good work devs.
A better fitting PZ for my play style. More realistic art style and better control of the surrondings. I just wish the base customaziton was as good as Vein for example. I would like to be able to clean the trash of the
This is just OK Zombie survival game. If you thought SoD2 was too arcadey and scripted, HumanitZ brings in more real survival and randomness. If ProjectZomboid was too complex, deep and tedious. HumanitZ is more simple
I picked this game up on sale and have about 32 hours in it so far, mostly playing with a buddy. Overall, I've really enjoyed the game and the PvP. The core gameplay loop is fun, and there's a lot of potential here.
