In my opinion this is the best of the Hegemony games. That isn't to say I don't like the later games, its just they feel pretty janky and unpolished compared to Gold. But this game is really the complete package. You

Great in theory but in execution, at least in the Phillip campaign, it just gets tedious. You only have a limited amount of money, manpower and men to accomplish your objectives and defend your lands from constant enemy
