This DLC is best consumed as by itself, as a new game start. I did level 15 to 40 here, then wiped the slate clean and went to see Preston for the first time. That worked for me. Perhaps they should have set this up as

Worst story DLC. Forced raider path or you get an unfinished sloppy ending where nothing happens and the NPCs clothes disapear after a few days i'm sure some will enjoy the ability to be "evil" but this is half baked
