Description

Exogate Initiative is a management/base-building game that’ll take you from a humble rec room to the edge of creation. In the near future, a new technology allows us to travel instantly to anywhere in the universe via portals known as Exogates. An international initiative is created to develop these portals and explore the worlds beyond.

As head of the initiative, you’ll lead mankind into the vast unknown, where we never dreamed to tread.

Plan, excavate and build a sprawling underground research facility.

  • Dig anywhere on the map & add new rooms and specialised equipment as the initiative grows in scope.

  • Make a home away from home! You will need to provide for your team's emotional and physical needs.

  • Defend your base from hostile aliens and study them to unlock new weapons

Recruit, train and manage specialists from all around the universe.

  • Recruit explorers, known as ‘Gaters’ (humans or aliens), to explore and study the universe. Gaters are fully autonomous and come with a unique background.

  • Unlock new classes as you play. You’ll need scientists to study flora and fauna, scholars to decipher, soldiers to keep everyone safe and more.

  • Care for your team as they face the unknown. Ensure they have the right equipment, as well as food, shelter and emotional support.

  • Team members will develop relationships with each other and will mourn when someone dies.

Assemble a team of experts and send them across the universe through the Exogate.

  • Resist, defeat and negotiate with other factions thanks to a dedicated 4X gameplay.

  • Gaters perform missions autonomously but will check in with you for crucial decisions. Interact with our explorers, make life-to-death decisions and discover endless possible outcomes

  • Make contact with alien life, and write reports about your discovery to secure financing.

  • Teams will return with samples that can be developed into valuable new technology. Earn money for your investors and help the initiative grow.

I'm very sad to give this one a nnegative score. I've tried to wait a few patches after release to get as good as possible experience, which, unfortunately did not improve much from EA. Good points: 1. It shares some

Overall, the game is good and feels very similar to Evil Genius, but set in space. I can definitely recommend it, however I want to highlight several downsides. They are not critical, but without them the game would

This is a game with great potential. Some good elements like the building and tech tree. However the medics are broken and so is the mental health mechanic. It ends up making whole teams unusable. Which in turn stops

I can't recommend the game. It will fill you with micro-frustration : A guy taking 3 days to eat is lunch when you need it for a mission, and ennemies that can remove sectors from you so fast your team to fight off the

This well-formed review pretty much sums up how I'm feeling, though I haven't made it to the grind yet. I was pleasantly surprised that the game did turn out as I had hoped from this review . Xeno Bits is punching a bit

Overall positive, a little expensive for what it is, no real replay value. No major bugs, loading issues, etc, but a hard limit on your workers that seems fairly small when trying to attack/defend/gather resources. Base
