Dune: Awakening is an epic Open World Survival RPG where you get to fully immerse yourself in the legendary world of Dune.
You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent, to uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or together with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, and the opportunity for you to rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies. The choice is yours.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Explore a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the vast sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested sands in your own, crafted ornithopter. Witness massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape.
Experience an epic, cinematically told Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born? What would be different? Meet familiar characters from the books and movies including Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories.
Seek shadows in the scorching heat of the day. Craft a stillsuit to reclaim your bodily fluids. Look for wormsign or risk being eaten by Shai-Hulud himself. Arrakis is a test, and to succeed, you must uncover the secret knowledge of the Fremen and study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools.
Carve out a piece of Arrakis for yourself. Discover unique resources to mine and craft hundreds of items, armors, gadgets, vehicles, and base parts. Build and decorate a modest home just for yourself, set up an efficient spice refinery with your friends, or construct a massive seat of power for your guild. Scavenge, craft, build, and trade your way to fortune.
Play alone, with a handful of friends, or head into the wider world filled with hundreds of other players and engage in the politics of Arrakis. Unlock powerful new abilities to become a master of hand-to-hand and ranged combat or pursue the life of a planetologist, surveying Arrakis and uncovering its ancient mysteries. You decide how to spend your time on Arrakis.
You can play Dune: Awakening on an official server or a private server rented from a third-party provider.

At first, I really liked Dune: Awakening. Even the grinding wasn’t that bad — until you hit the high-tier tech. That’s when the real pain begins: non-stop water hunting, resource chasing, and absolutely obnoxious
I’ve been on Arrakis since day one and I’m furious at what Funcom has done with this IP. This was sold as a ruthless survival MMO where players would fight over spice in a deadly desert. Instead, after a year of
Wait to buy it later after it gets some updates. The beginning of the game is great but towards the end it's just the same boring survival loops. The initial like 80 hours are great in building the story and the overall
I enjoyed the game, it was fun. I just think that PVP for even these types of games are as popular as some would like to think. People like to work together co-op for PVE content and that is the majority of players. PVP
Played over 3,000 hours. Was always hoping they'd add PvP content, but now they've pivoted hard to PvE only. They don't listen to what their playerbase wants, feedback is pointless. They say 80-90% of people exclusively
