The original Don't Starve was a fairly tight survival experience and a joy to explore. It's Rogue inspiration could at time makes the permadeath demoralising, though its more contained nature made it fairly easy to drop

Really really good fun. But the game doesnt teach you much. You either have to work it out all on your own through a lot of deaths, or watch guides that teach you strats.
