This DLC, like Sword of Islam, is only recommended if you want to play as an Indian. However, compared to Sword of Islam which I only recommended on a sale, there are a lot of negatives to consider: - The price is $5

For some reason, the incompetent employees over at Paradox decided to disable achievements if you so much as want to change a ruler's name, before starting a game. I don't see how customizing a name or changing a flag

I like playing in India and experiencing the new environment and events. While many people claim it causes slowdown, I have never noticed such performance issues. And I'm playing on a mid-tier computer.

India is quite an interesting region. Performance is much better and new content over the years made it even better. If you are not interested in the region, skip it safely OR buy on a sale.
