User reviews
Unlike the previous Bubsy-games which were 2D platformers, Paws on Fire is an endless runner - and not a very good one. You play as four different characters with different movesets/playstyles, however the game is easy,
It's not a Bubsy game, it's a game with Bubsy characters. An auto-runner just isn't the best fit for this franchise. Also, why did they retcon Bubsy being the twin's uncle? Also all of Arnold's levels can be beaten
Controls are unreliable, and Bubsy does not suit the endless runner game format. This game is much worse than Woolies Strike Back, and that astounds me. Also don't forget that the developers tried to crowdfund on
It's great that there is a modern Bubsy experience that is playable from smart to finish. I played through the entire game with no crashes, bugs, or frame rate drops.
This is more of a neutral review but I will rate it more positively than negatively because the game isn't broken in any way and works fine as kind of a button timing platformer. The original SNES Bubsy games are
Ain't no way it should be twenty five bucks unless it's longer than i think it is.. but it is the best put together bubsy game, so it's got that going for it. call it an 'accolade'. sorry
