Beasts & Exploration is a blight upon an otherwise fine game. All new monsters have unreasonable risk/reward relationship and most players will advise you to simply avoid Hexen/Alps/Unhold contracts. I fail to see the

I had fun initially but over time it kind of made quests too difficult and made the game not enjoyable. Plus the things you can craft aren't really that many and sometimes don't even feel worth it. It gives a huge spike

This one is NOT a DLC, it is the integral part of the game. Don't even think of playing BB without this expansion, it is a basically a part of basic game sold separately. Makes it much less hollow.
