Description

Rise, breathe, and stir, Sigh. The hour has come to gather your scattered Pupils from across the vast world and lead them once more. Fear not—when they feel your breath graze their skin and see their wool tremble in your current, they will know you are near. They have been waiting. Touch their feet with care, carry their weary forms, uplift their souls, and fill them with courage that does not waver.
Do not hold back the storms that remind them the journey stretches far ahead, relentless and deep. Push them gently, fiercely, always forward—toward the Eye. As Far As I.

You are the Wind—the unseen guardian shaping the fate of the Pupils, a wandering tribe striving to reach the world’s heart. Guide their every step: manage their food, their shelters, their fragile lives. Nourish their minds with knowledge drawn from farming, crafting, science, and ancient mysteries before the rising waters erase the land. One misstep—a failed harvest, an unnoticed tide—and all could be lost.

As Far As The Eye is a nomadic, turn-based settlement game where each journey unfolds uniquely. Travel across a procedurally generated world, surviving one halt at a time, moving always onward—toward the Eye.

  • Plot the most viable route across the unknown, seeking the distant Eye.
  • Discover, examine, and reclaim forgotten relics from procedurally crafted lands.
  • Gather, construct, store, and flee your shelter before the tide swallows it whole.
  • Advance your Pupils through specialization, evolve your structures, and expand your Tribe's Knowledge across generations.
  • Endure hardship and shield the Pupils from sudden trials brought by nature’s whims.
  • Forge bonds, trade for survival, draw in new Pupils, and deepen your people.
  • Offer reverence at Sacred Sites—or loot them in silence. But remember: every choice carries weight, and balance must be restored.
  • Embark on a calm yet urgent odyssey—there are no enemies, only the world and its will.
  • Experience a reimagined journey each time with the Roguelike tribe system.

  • Customize your playthrough using modifiers: adjust journey length, halt size, and resource flow.
  • Play the campaign to uncover the lore and lineage of A FATE.
  • Unlock new tribes and regions through repeated ventures into the unknown.
  • Strive for greatness—collect rewards and uncover fates by guiding as many Pupils as possible to the Eye in this thoughtful roguelike resource odyssey.

So close to being a really special game. The aesthetics, theming, artwork, and game design are solid. But it suffers two great flaws: Campaign mode is a tutorial that gives us a taste of what a fully-developed campaign

Pray to the RNGod and hope. That's the whole game, even if you manage your resources, take the easiest path, plan in advance something so random will happen that will make your entire run pointless. Oh you finally

I really want to enjoy this game. When there's hope of being able to beat a level, I do. But it's unnecessarily unforgiving. You can't undo a turn. If you overlook one thing, or don't juggle seven different tasks all at

I want to love this game. I do. It wants to be a tough resource management game, with lots of potential ways forward and with little margin for error. And I am highly in favor of that style of game and am happy to put

TL;DR: Fun concept, but there are huge design issues. Your ability to win very much depends on pure luck and much less on skill. You often get unwinnable maps that will make things utterly frustrating. Especially since

It brings me great sadness to post this review. Amazing game so so so much fun. However, there is an RNG get bent problem. Others have mentioned it, but literally, you will be placed on a map with no resources that you
