Description

Step into the fading realm of Arto, a breathtaking action RPG where color is not just beauty—but power. As an Apostle chosen by a dying god, your very presence rekindles a world drained of vibrancy, restoring life one hue at a time through intense, fluid combat and deep character progression.

Once radiant and thriving, the world now bleeds monochrome silence as the cataclysm starved the six gods of their essence. You are the last spark of hope—anointed to undo the void. With each stride, you breathe color back into desolate lands, unraveling the truth behind the devastation while confronting those who cling to the darkness.

Wield the legendary Paint Arrow, a divine gift infused with chromatic energy, and evolve it through dozens of unique traits to shape your combat identity. Discover over 80 spell combinations—from homing projectiles that track down foes, to explosive splatters that launch enemies skyward or protective paint orbs that shield you mid-battle. Customize, adapt, and dominate in creative, visually dazzling ways.

Master an arsenal of dynamic abilities including double and triple dashes, precise parries, and devastating counterattacks. Choose from a wide array of upgradeable weapons that let you control the battlefield—strike swiftly, fight defensively, or blend styles on the fly with a radial weapon switch system that rewards improvisation and personal flair.

Your decisions shape the soul of this broken world. Navigate a branching narrative where alliances with other apostles determine the fate of the gods and the planet itself. Will you reignite hope—or deepen the descent into oblivion? Every dialogue choice and moral dilemma echoes toward one of many possible endings.

  • Battle uniquely designed enemies born from the decay of color and spirit.

  • Test your skill against optional, challenging bosses that demand mastery.

  • Define your character through a responsive dialogue system that reflects your ethos.

  • Piece together the forgotten history of the cataclysm through hidden environmental storytelling.

  • Restore hope to the world’s strange and resilient inhabitants by completing meaningful side quests.

Stay vigilant: not all welcome the return of color. Some fear it. Some profit from the gray. And others… will stop at nothing to keep the world lifeless.

The game has fun gameplay with intriguing story and rich worldbuilding for the time that I spent playing. However I have encountered game breaking bug that was reported months ago and was not fixed. This game does not

Actually took my time and explored and unlocked everything. Well, at least what I managed to. Seems I'm still missing some side quest and no idea what/where. Game is awesome visually, combat is so and so, becomes better

It's the first time I've seen such a bad optimization in an indie game. There is no reason to recommend this game. Don't the production team know how to fix it?

Unfortunately the frames drop so badly, that it's unplayable in a lot of locations. Shame, because the concept is cool.

One of my all time favorite games is Okami, Arto reminds me a lot of that game, but its wonderfully weird in its own way and equally beautiful. This game had me hooked within the first hour on its beauty, fast paced
