Description

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure tells the tale of Jemma, a restless soul from a quiet, suffocatingly quaint town, as she steps into a vast and mysterious world pulsing with wonder—and fear. Beyond the safety of home lies a land gripped by an enigmatic, unyielding force known as ‘static,’ halting progress and numbing ambition. As Jemma navigates this fractured society, she must challenge its inertia, unravel its secrets, and search for a place where she truly belongs.

The game unfolds across a singular, interconnected grid that forms the fabric of the entire world—seamlessly blending traversal, exploration, and combat. Every time Jemma moves along a row or column, everything aligned with her shifts in tandem, with characters and objects looping around the grid’s edges. This dynamic system fuels spirited chaos and delivers inventive mini-puzzles that constantly evolve, challenging the player to think directionally and creatively.

Features:

  • A distinctive grid-based gameplay mechanic that dynamically links movement, exploration, and combat in one cohesive system.
  • A rich, character-driven narrative following Jemma’s journey from outcast to catalyst of change.
  • A streamlined RPG experience—no XP grinding or inventory management—where all progression unfolds organically within the world.
  • A thoughtfully paced campaign offering optional challenges and customizable assist features, letting you tailor the difficulty to your preference.
  • The debut release from a standout team, highlighted by the visionary artist behind *Braid*.

The vibe of the whole game is "feel good while solving puzzles" and everything about the game has been crafted to work towards that purpose. This is great example of "try the demo. If you like it, you'll like the game."

Kind of breaks my heart to give this one a thumbs down, since the presentation is insanely charming, but the puzzles just really don't have the sauce. There's lots of ideas that seem fun and interesting on the surface

I have nothing to complain about. Although I can nitpick a bit -- they didn't really explain the fishing. And, there is no "post game" to do things you didn't do during the game. The game uses a somewhat simple gameplay

Ok this game was very cute, chill, but also mentally challenging puzzle/RPG The story was cute, the gameplay was fun, and the game doesn’t wear out its welcome. Took me like 11 hours to finish. I feel like the pacing

This was a fun little puzzler with a deeper story than I initially expected. My only con is that there is no hint system, but they do have a "skip puzzle" section. However, most puzzles don't take too long and I could

This was a lot of fun, Arranger has a cute story to go with it, and no review would be complete without talking about the puzzles. They are VERY well designed and range from easy to "I'm going to take a break". I can
