Half of Bohemia Interactive's net revenue from direct sales of the Laws of War DLC in 2017—excluding bundle purchases—was donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). • International Development & Aid Project (IDAP) - Meet IDAP, a new non-governmental faction dedicated to rapid response in humanitarian crises. Equipped with custom-branded gear, uniforms, and tools, this organization includes role-specific outfits such as for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specialists, enhancing realism and immersion.
• "Remnants of War" Mini-Campaign - Play as Nathan MacDade, an IDAP explosives expert returning to post-war Altis & Stratis to clear minefields. Through a series of flashbacks during a journalist interview, uncover the hidden truths behind the conflict in the town of Oreokastro from multiple perspectives and timelines.
• Van - IDAP operates a versatile new van, available in numerous variants—including cargo, personnel transport, and ambulance configurations—each featuring over twenty unique liveries for authentic humanitarian deployment.
• Utility & Demining Drone - Deploy a new multi-role drone capable of transporting supplies and scouting terrain. A specialized demining variant supports IDAP's efforts in detecting and neutralizing hazardous ordnance.
• APERS Mine Dispenser - Introducing a controversial area-denial system, this automated weapon scatters anti-personnel mines, highlighting the long-term dangers of warfare—especially when unattended ordnance endures long after hostilities cease.
• Vests, Bags, Headgear & Facewear - A full set of new equipment enables diverse customization, including safety vests, press helmets, hard hats, ear protection, tactical goggles, messenger bags, and more—ideal for non-combat roles.
• Additional Content - Includes time trial modes for the van and drone, a paramedic uniform, a training mine, and other tools that deepen the gameplay experience.

The Laws of War DLC is accompanied by a major free platform update for all Arma 3 owners, expanding the game with new systems and enhancements.

• Cluster Strikes & UXO - Enhanced cluster munition effects are balanced by the real-world risk of unexploded ordnance (UXO), adding strategic consequences to their use.
• Mines - Improved mine detection and clearance mechanics place greater emphasis on careful reconnaissance using the Mine Detector, reflecting real EOD procedures.
• Leaflets - Use the Utility Drone to drop customizable informational leaflets from the air. Civilians can pick them up, and scenario creators can design their own for custom missions.
• LOAC - The Field Manual now includes guidance on the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC), and gameplay systems have been refined to better reflect ethical and legal rules of engagement.
