Description

An epic first-person adventure set in ancient Greece.

About Argonus and the Gods of Stone

From the acclaimed developers of Shadowgate comes Argonus and the Gods of Stone, a first-person legendary journey steeped in myth and mystery. Inspired by the timeless fantasy epics of the '60s and '70s, this immersive tale unfolds in the legendary world of ancient Greece. You are Argonus, a scholar of maps and history, who awakens stranded on uncharted, eerie shores. Nearby, the fabled Argo — vessel of Jason and his Argonauts — lies broken upon jagged rocks, lured to ruin by a siren’s fatal melody. As you uncover the grim fate of your fellow survivors, you are forced into a perilous pact with a goddess: halt a deadly blight consuming lives across the island in exchange for a chance to return home — or fall victim to the island’s unseen, malevolent forces.

I think it was 1998 and I was using a Mac computer at school in social studies class playing a video game that was "educational" but was a mini fmv game centered around Greek mythology. This game reminds me of that.

A really fun first person puzzle game. The story was extremely enticing, containing all the beloved creatures from the Greek stories. The puzzle are not hard, I found trying to get all achievements to be harder...as it

This is not an action game. No fighting or getting killed. It is however a gorgeous game that lets you slow down and look around at your own pace. It is one of the most visually pleasing game I have ever played. I LOVED

An excellent journey that puts the player in a Homeric-style Epic tale. I found myself being immersed in the story and enjoying the scenery. Truly one of the best hidden gems I've played. Thanks devs!
