Description

Aquanox Deep Descent is a first-person underwater vehicle shooter set in the dark, submerged ruins of a collapsed civilization. Pilots take command of advanced, customizable submersibles and plunge into intense combat beneath the waves, battling through crushing depths in the fractured world of Aqua.

Following the collapse of Earth's surface, humanity’s remnants cling to survival in aging underwater habitats—former mining and research outposts buried in the ocean's abyss. These isolated colonies, linked only by fragile alliances, are locked in a brutal struggle for control over dwindling resources. Raised entirely beneath the waves, a new generation of pilots fights for power, loyalty, and survival in a world without light or mercy.

Lead a squad of elite underwater combat pilots in a gripping, story-driven campaign that spans the globe’s now-flooded continents and plunges into the deepest oceanic trenches. Wield torpedoes, shrapnel launchers, mines, and devastating special weapons to annihilate your enemies and send them to the crushing dark of Davy Jones’ Locker.

  • Fight - High-octane vehicular combat with diverse offensive and defensive systems to suit every tactical approach
  • Co-op - Team up with up to three other players in seamless drop-in co-op, featuring four distinct pilots tied directly into the narrative
  • Customize - Select and enhance your submarines with modular upgrades that reflect your combat style
  • Explore - Traverse the vast, mysterious underwater world, from ruined cities to uncharted abyssal plains
  • VPP - Dominate classic multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Dogfighting in player-driven matches

The Original Series

Aquanox Deep Descent redefines the legacy of the acclaimed AquaNox series, expanding on the immersive world and mechanics pioneered by its predecessors. The franchise began with *Archimedean Dynasty* (German: *Schleichfahrt*) in 1996, followed by *AquaNox* (2001) and *AquaNox 2: Revelation* (2003).

Each title is a vehicular shooter set in a post-surface Earth, where humanity survives in deep-sea colonies amid political decay and relentless warfare.

Powered by the revolutionary KRASS Engine, the original games helped shape PC performance testing through AquaMark, a benchmarking tool celebrated for its visual intensity.

It's with a pretty heavy heart that I don't recommend this game. Archimedian Dynasty was one of my favourite games as a teenager, I loved the plot and the ship combat, the terror of the bionts. Aquanox made it faster

Online Coop-Multiplayer DOES NOT WORK! A google-search shows that the issue is known, but never was adressed by the developers. DO NOT BUY if you want to play with friends. Singleplayer is decent.

I hate games where some enemies are artificially invulnerable to advance the plot (right at the beginning) and spawn all the time where you just killed them (when you enter the IPF territory / Neversleep), again for the

A sad prequel to a great legacy... Both technically and artistically behind it's predecessors: - Dialog feels like it was written by an edgy 14 year old and characters are very obnoxious - Map and minimap are basically

They put a mission into the middle of the game that requires you to win an unwinnable race. You can't win because your opponent has a ship which is about 1.5 times as fast yours, so no matter what you do, you can't win.

A flashy shooter game that borrows the Aquanox name and throws some names and events in from the old Aquanox lore to lure you in, but has none of the worldbuilding that the old games had. The characters are wooden and
