About the Game

Step into the adventure that started it all — the debut masterpiece from the visionary mind behind the beloved Syberia series, Benoit Sokal.

The year is 1932. A ambitious young explorer named Alexandre Valembois ventures into the uncharted and enigmatic Amerzone region alongside his native companion, Antonio Álvarez. Welcomed by the indigenous people of the land, Alexandre becomes witness to a sacred ritual centered around a colossal egg belonging to the legendary white birds. Driven by an obsession to prove these mythical creatures truly exist, he shatters the trust placed in him by the natives and makes off with the precious egg. Yet upon his return to France, not a soul believed him — neither his word nor the journals he brought back from his journey.

Now, six decades later, the world bears little resemblance to what it once was. The dust of World War II has long since settled, and the Amerzone remains as unreachable as ever — sealed off from the outside world under the iron grip of its tyrannical ruler, none other than Antonio Álvarez himself. Old and frail, Alexandre Valembois spends his final days in solitary confinement within a lonely lighthouse, haunted by the weight of his past betrayal and desperate to make things right. Then, an unexpected visitor arrives — a young journalist seeking the truth behind the aging explorer's long-forgotten tales...

Will you be the one to finally solve the riddle of the white birds?

Amerzone (1999) – Tier C (Free to Keep) Amerzone is a very old game — and you can immediately tell it was released back in 1999. Because of that, you really shouldn’t expect much in terms of modern quality or comfort.

I used to play this with my father everyday for 10 years straight. We couldn't make it past the first part of the game but we had a blast! Lately, he died due to cancer and when I play this game all I can do is cry.

I'm torn on this one. There's an enchanting nostalgia about it, but there are too many playability issues. It lacks quality of life. I gave up after several rounds of getting stuck and looking up solutions
