Description
Rebuild a powerful empire from the ruins in Age of Wonders 4: Rise from Ruin. Venture into the Withered Worlds and traverse their shattered landscapes alongside the Nomad Culture, purpose-built to endure and flourish amid devastation. Discover the forbidden magics that laid waste to these realms, then decide whether to cast them out permanently or bend their destructive force to your will.
New Culture: Command the Nomads, unrivaled masters of movement across both battlefield and open world, hauling entire cities throughout the realm in tireless pursuit of dominance and glory. These plunderers of magical wastelands strip the earth of its potent essences before pressing onward, leaving only ruin in their wake. Opt for Conquerors to execute swift, aggressive raids that seize enemy lands, or choose Scavengers to pillage ancient wonders and battlefield spoils for ever-growing strength.
New Form: Guide the nation of Harefolk, the survivors who literally outpaced the apocalypse. When civilization crumbled, they persisted through sheer velocity, sharp instincts, and an ironclad refusal to perish. Where others collapse, they flourish, transforming agility and cunning into their most lethal tools of survival.
New World Map Content: Endure the Astral Barrens, a new terrain type born from a catastrophic magical catastrophe, where magic itself becomes an adversary. This merciless wasteland saps mana reserves, arrests regeneration, and punishes spellcasters as volatile energies cause spells to backfire and living magic to wither into nothing. Discover Fractured Infestations, ancient wonders, and crumbling nodes that pull you deeper into a haunting post-apocalyptic landscape. The Astral Sea worlds have furthermore been expanded with 20 painstakingly handcrafted regions. Brave the Devouring Winds through the Echoes of the Fracturing realm trait, where a world-spanning crisis transforms every cast spell into a dangerous gamble.
New Narrative Content: Investigate the Fated Regions dispersed throughout the realm — the Withered Worlds abandoned by power-hungry Archmages who once pursued the Well of Creation. Undertake sweeping epic quests to claim ancient artifacts tied to the origins of the Devouring Winds, drawing you into the tainted ruins of their fallen domains, where you must confront the horrors spawned from their catastrophic failure.
New Tomes:
Tome of the Warband: Forge formidable martial forces and guide your units upward through the ranks.
Tome of Sand Stalkers: Blanket the land in desert, stalk and blind your foes, and call upon a desert Guardian to stand at your defense.
Tome of the Warlord: Seize the world with fearsome warriors and infernal companions at your side.
New Wildlife and Units. Contend with fearsome new Wildlife prowling the realm:
6 Fractured creatures rendered completely unrecognizable after enduring the catastrophe.
2 Desert animals: Watch out for the lethal Sand Scorpion and Sand Worm.
Additional Content:
5 New Realm Traits and 2 new Realm Templates.
2 New Mounts: Camels and Scorpions.
3 New Music Tracks composed by Michiel van den Bos.
New Interface Skin for a completely immersive visual experience.

I think again the ball has kind of been dropped here. This is twice in a row now that DLCs have been disappointing. However, unlike with the vampire DLC this is not because there is not much content and what does exist
One thing I'd really want Triumph to take to heart is to not make across-the-board balance changes mid-release of a DLC bundle, rather roll those out before or after a bundle is released and patched. The problem I have
Ok so let's check the content : New form : ok it's not great but it's a nice addition New culture : it's original but only one of the two subculture is good. The other one is really bad. New world map content : it's not
Hard to recommend spending $20 on yet another furry race in a game that already has 10 of them. No story, no lore, no unique mechanics. Just another anthro animal race because that's apparently the target audience.
I'm not really sure why this is getting reviewed negatively in any capacity. Let's set aside from the moment the massive free update that came out alongside this. So we have a new culture, three new tomes and 8 new
The complains about the movement and Defense/Resistance changes are folks appearing to just looking at the issue at face value without understanding the reasoning behind them. They are good and helped steer the game
