Description

Lead the armies of light in the Age of Wonders 4: Archon Prophecy expansion. Unite with the heavenly Archons as they mount their counteroffensive against the corrupting forces plaguing Urrath. Seek the wisdom of oracles, uncover veiled prophecies that determine the destinies of entire realms, and seize control of your own fate. Includes a new culture, story content, and society traits.

New Culture:

Expand your empire through the guidance of the Architects — erect grand, enchanted monuments throughout your cities and consecrate them to an affinity of your choosing, boosting your economy and granting formidable bonuses. Mold your domain and etch your beliefs permanently into the fabric of the world.

Two New Forms bring their timeless conflict into the very heart of your empire:

  • Elysian — transcendent, otherworldly beings who infuse your realm with a sacred, divine presence.

  • Ancient — gnarled and weathered figures emerging from the furthest reaches of history — and far darker corners besides.

New Narrative Content:

Chart your empire's course using Prophecy Traits — fresh society traits designed to help you sculpt your civilization. Early in your campaign, a vision will emerge, urging you to define your ruler's purpose and grand ambitions. Its interpretation remains entirely in your hands, yet fulfilling the Prophecy yields extraordinary rewards.

Two New Story Realms await as you unravel the enigmas surrounding the Archons:

  • Rings of Emnora — Venture into Emnora's concealed realm, the Archons' great stronghold, seeking allies in the unending war against Urrath.

  • Cliffs of Sordünn — Arrive upon the shores of Sordünn and traverse an ancient land consumed by the relentless horrors of the Umbral Abyss. Wrest the realm free from Urrath's grip and fulfill a Prophecy that will forever alter the struggle between light and shadow.

Four New Tomes:

  • Tome of Virtue — Fortify your warriors with unshakable righteousness, magnifying their combat prowess all the way to the final stand.

  • Tome of Prophecies — Infuse every clash with prophetic spells and portents that bend the tide of battle to your will.

  • Tome of the Revenant — Harness the energy of the departed and unleash retribution upon the living.

  • Tome of the Archon — Call forth celestial champions and elevate your units to the hallowed ranks of the Archons.

New Hero Class:

Heed the divine calling through the formidable Battlesaint. Whether shepherding the devout as a consecrated support unit or holding the line with martyr-like resilience as a tank, the Battlesaint transforms righteousness into raw power and sacrifice into triumph.

New Wildlife Units: Encounter fearsome new Wildlife creatures roaming the landscape.

  • 2 Celestial Animals — Marvel at the breathtaking grace of the Griffon and its even more resplendent kin, the Celestial Griffon.

  • 3 Archon Representatives — Distinguished, elite emissaries dispatched directly by the Archons.

  • 2 Revenant Archons — Corrupted remnants of fallen champions haunting the realm with their necromantic might.

Additional Content:

  • 5 New Music Tracks composed by the talented Michiel van den Bos.

  • 2 New Mounts: Chariot and Griffon.

  • New Interface Skin for a truly immersive visual experience.

  • Several Map Updates, featuring a new pickup, a new ancient wonder, a new infestation, and a brand-new region type.

Paradox bullcrap is really strong on this one... It's just exact same things present in the base game but made so they look better. Everything is broken and nothing fits anywhere plus they keep releasing less of content

The content itself is fine. However this DLC is reaching The Sims 4 Expansion levels of price per content. There simply is nothing in this pack that justifies it's price tag . This DLC alone costs you half of the

I'm not normally one to complain about nerfs for dlc, lots of the time dlc is way too overtuned. But part of the selling point of this dlc is that architects scale, in exchange for a slow start and time spent building

Overpriced, under utilized. These things are way too expensive for how little they have. You'd do better with any other paradox DLC, with maybe the exception of that brazilian one for HOI4. You will be left wanting for

Steep asking price for what's offered, and the new class should have been a free for the game. Never buy this one for full price.

The nicest thing I can say is that it feels like a fantasy game made by Apple. This feels like more a digitized board game than a proper video game. As cheesy as it is to say, the game has no "soul". It is evident in
