Pick up your sword as the Muslim resistance standing against the European Crusades in this gripping new single player campaign. Uncover the stories of legendary Muslim leaders, their confrontations with the Crusaders, and the historic battles they waged.

Beyond the all-new campaign, this content-rich expansion brings two entirely new playable civilizations – the Japanese and the Byzantines – alongside four playable variant civilizations that revisit and reimagine factions originally introduced in the base game of Age of Empires IV. Rounding out the package are ten new maps, fresh unlockable rewards, and much more.

"The Sultans Ascend" campaign – 8 missions

This newest chapter in the Age of Empires IV single player campaign unfolds across the Middle East during the era of the European Crusades. Step into the role of the Muslim resistance against the invading forces, tracing the journeys of renowned Muslim leaders through their fierce clashes with the Crusaders and the landmark battles they endured. Stand against the Holy Orders of the Templars, Hospitallers, and Teutons, as well as their longstanding enemies, the Mongols.

Marking a historic first for Age of Empires IV, this campaign introduces naval gameplay to the series. The conflict stretches across both land and sea, putting new heroes, unique abilities, and innovative mechanics at your fingertips.

Immerse yourself in the remarkable triumphs and battlefield strategies of celebrated Muslim leaders across each chapter: Tughtekin, Nur al-Din, Shirkuh, Saladin, Qutuz, Baybars, Shajar al-Durr, and Barsbay.
