About the Game

GATE stands as humanity's premier scientific institution, running a worldwide network of classified research facilities that push the boundaries of every known discipline — and plenty of unknown ones.

As a member of the GATE team, your mission is to advance human understanding and investigate the impossible — from artifacts that warp gravitational forces to paranormal creatures driven by pure predatory instinct. Discretion, protection, and containment are the three pillars of daily operations… under normal circumstances.

Those circumstances are long gone. A catastrophic breach has transformed your once-prestigious workplace into an interdimensional war zone: dangerous anomalous entities roam freely, hostile forces are pouring through dimensional portals, and a shadowy militant faction called The Order has launched an indiscriminate assault on both personnel and entities alike, hell-bent on claiming artifacts and crushing the chaos at any cost.

Evacuation protocols have collapsed and reinforcements aren't coming. Trapped deep underground, you and your fellow scientists must unite, devise an escape strategy, and carve out a temporary existence within the bowels of this subterranean complex.

Abiotic Factor injects a 90s sci-fi aesthetic and deep character progression into the multiplayer open world survival crafting genre. Groups of up to 6 players select their PhDs, customize their scientist, gear up, and delve into a sprawling underground facility teeming with supernatural relics, transdimensional adversaries, and catastrophically failed experiments.

With extraterrestrial predators stalking the corridors, trigger-happy soldiers patrolling the halls, and cutting-edge robotic security systems turning against their own staff, danger lurks around every corner. Combat isn't a scientist's strong suit — so leverage that brilliant mind instead: engineer inventive and unconventional tools, weapons, and equipment ranging from basic nets and wooden bats all the way up to laser cannons and sophisticated trap systems. Use every ounce of scientific ingenuity at your disposal!

Settle in — this is your home now. Strip abandoned offices and deserted laboratories for materials, raid vending machines for supplies, and commandeer company assets to construct a new headquarters as you chart the facility's depths. When it's time to relocate, haul everything you own across the complex using handcarts, forklifts, SUVs, teleporters, and a variety of other transport options.

Pull on your lab coat and put that doctorate to work: specializations range from Phytogenetic Botanist to Defense Analyst and Archotechnic Consultant — among many others — each offering unique advantages critical to your team's survival. Mix and match traits and skills, then level up alongside your fellow scientists to unlock powerful perks and abilities, building the ultimate collaborative scientific unit.

A career at GATE was everything you ever wanted — perishing here certainly wasn't in the five-year plan. Venture through this enormous subterranean facility and journey into worlds far beyond it, harnessing the most extraordinary technology ever kept hidden from the public in this sweeping interdimensional sci-fi survival adventure!

The first time I got towards the end of the storyline for this game, I stopped because I didn't want the experience to end. That's how good it is. And fishing....I love fishing so f-ing much.

I knew that I was going to like this game going into it, but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. This game has rave reviews for a reason. If you enjoy Terraria, Valheim or Enshrouded, then chances are you'll

I'd say a pretty good game overall, though there are a handful of issues I had with the game. One of the issues is weapons balancing, heavy weapons often feel vastly more powerful than non-heavy weapons. Even with the

Maybe this game just isn't set up for single player, but it just feels like they want you to discover and explore things with your face and then laughs at you when you die. "Hrm, where's that turre-"

I absolutely love this game. The graphics are a little whacky in style, but it's suitable for this game. Still, wouldn't mind seeing it get an option or update for more realistic characters. However, that's not a game
