Description

1971 Project Helios is a turn-based strategy title that merges the brutality of modern military combat with intense close-quarters warfare. Guns and vehicles are nearly impossible to come by, conflict rages without end, and a relentless, bone-chilling cold cuts down allies and enemies alike without mercy.

A unlikely group of eight individuals must set aside their differences and unite behind a single mission: locate a renowned scientist who has been abducted by a powerful stratocratic regime. Their journey will thrust them into deadly confrontations with raiders, force them to probe deep into enemy military installations, and require them to slip undetected into the heavily guarded domain of a fanatical anti-technology religious cult.

  • Tactical Combat Wage war against three distinct factions, each boasting their own roster of unique units, battlefield strategies, and strengths. From hardened soldiers and expert marksmen to elusive outlaws and cold-resistant knights — study every opponent carefully, orchestrate each move with precision, and stay flexible across every encounter!

  • Exploration Venture across a wide array of environments, ranging from fortified military outposts to ancient medieval dungeons. Scour every corner for fulgor, fresh gear to equip your party with, and valuable intelligence about the world around you and the factions standing in your way.

  • Skill Trees Discover equipment tailored to each character and use it to unlock powerful new abilities, upgrade existing ones, and craft synergistic builds perfectly suited to your preferred playstyle.

  • Resource Management Gather every drop of fulgor available to restore lost HP, shorten ability cooldowns, and bring your fallen comrades back into the fight.

The campaign unfolds across a world locked in perpetual frost, where eight individuals — each carrying their own burdens and agendas — form a fragile, temporary alliance with one shared objective: finding Dr. Margaret Blythe. As they chase down every lead on her location, they fight side by side and gradually uncover the truths behind one another's pasts. Through a series of strategic choices and deeply personal decisions, you will steer this unlikely group toward one of three distinct endings.

TLDR: A clunky very badly designed game which you should not play for many, many reasons After playing for 1 hour I already don't want to play anymore. Moving the characters outside of combat is really clunky and

This game just comes with too many deal breakers for its price point. It's difficult to combine a simple engine with the tactical genre and this really didn't succeed. This game feels like it was trying to be the next

This is my first game review on Steam only because the I strongly believe that this game is not what it says it is. I just reached lvl4 in the game and, honestly, I feel I've had enough. Let me be very clear on this: it

Really interesting approach to the TBS genre, not as hard as XCOM but still quite challenging. The characters and the evolution of their relationships are interesting and tloved the setting, can't wait to know more

There is much to be enjoyed in this game, so I won't give it a negative. But really, a game with no map, awkward camera angles and no zoom? No positioning before starting a battle, and on top of that the enemies have
